At no point in my sports watching life have I ever had interest in some random sports analyst mock draft. Especially when they add mythical trade scenarios.

How does this keep anyones interest is beyond me.

I wouldn't say excited but I do pay attention to see how narratives are being set. A lot of times you can tell when agents have draft guys in their pocket, which influences the narrative that's being spun. For instance Kiper hyperventilating about Will Levis a few years ago.

If there's one mock I think is genuinely valuable it's the Daniel Jeremiah one(s). He has more inside information than the other mock draft guys, and he constantly calls what is going to happen. He knew Jahmyr Gibbs was shooting up draft boards in 2023 for instance. And this year he was the first guy to say Blake Miller is going in the 1st round. Now he's saying up to seven OTs will be drafted in the first round. I think that's valuable for fans trying to figure out who might fall to their squad. If your team needs defensive help you love hearing that a bunch of OTs, two QBs, and multiple receivers will go in the 1st. That means you probably get to draft a guy who normally wouldn't be available for you.

What I would do mock drafts? No I don't give a shyt about that.

What I've heard mock drafts are interesting. No different than trade rumor type shyt. Some guys are more accurate than others so you pay attention to those especially closer to the draft.

Nah I don't get excited about men ranking other men on their athletic prowess :dame:

"I watched 100's of hours of tape of these men putting they hands on men or avoiding men putting they hands on them. Let me tell you which man grabs men or avoids being grabbed by men the best"

Nah :dame:

Never excited but if there’s one that’s genuinely plugged in with teams then I might be more interested in it to see what the trends are.

But do I really care what grade Todd McShay, Mel Kiper or Jonathan Givony give a player? No, not really.

I would be interested when they were done by guys who were dialed in and had high hit rates on picks.

Aren't there a couple guys who are really good at it though - Daniel Jeremiah, Danny Kelly?

Anyone else considered excellent at it? Do they include imaginary trades?

Back in the day Rick Gosselin used to be really good.

I remember Mike used to have some sort of plug into the Buffalo Bills. He was the only one who predicted Donte Whitner to Buffalo at pick 8 back in 2006. He also got CJ Spiller correct to Buffalo in 2010 when they had Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson already.

I don't pay attention to the draft as much as I used to, so I don't know who's good these days.

I find them useful as I almost only follow pro sports and like the very late stage of college.

Nice to read up on the incoming talents

I love em.

I dont got time to watch college ball like that... so if i see a player rising up the ranks, i like to go back and watch their tape to see whats up with them. Especially when its an overseas player thats making a name for himself.

If my team is in the lottery i'll be even more obsessed.

Do I get excited? No. But it fills the time between the end of the season and the draft. Otherwise it's basketball which has tapered off in terms of game quality and baseball which I follow only casually now compared to when I was younger.
