I wouldn't say excited but I do pay attention to see how narratives are being set. A lot of times you can tell when agents have draft guys in their pocket, which influences the narrative that's being spun. For instance Kiper hyperventilating about Will Levis a few years ago.
If there's one mock I think is genuinely valuable it's the Daniel Jeremiah one(s). He has more inside information than the other mock draft guys, and he constantly calls what is going to happen. He knew Jahmyr Gibbs was shooting up draft boards in 2023 for instance. And this year he was the first guy to say Blake Miller is going in the 1st round. Now he's saying up to seven OTs will be drafted in the first round. I think that's valuable for fans trying to figure out who might fall to their squad. If your team needs defensive help you love hearing that a bunch of OTs, two QBs, and multiple receivers will go in the 1st. That means you probably get to draft a guy who normally wouldn't be available for you.
