Actually I would have expected him to sell more with that monster of a radio hit, decent reviews and the fact he's finally properly crossed over

Still good numbers though but there have been albums with less of a radio presence in the past 12 months

he's about to sell 4 times his last album's first week.

overall, he moved 200K last album. he about to do that first week.

that's crazy especially in the internet age where we forget about artists after one album

Yeah I mean look, its good numbers but considering how much he broke out and had buzz I thought he would be closer to 200k first week

Cudi and Nas did this off their fanbases alone

Dont get me wrong its still good but I cant help but compare things these days

niggga -- its 70 percent in and he is at 150K :what:

he might end up at 200K

the final numbers don't drop until Tuesday

and i dont know why you are comparing him to cudi and nas....you can only compare him to his last album, breh

Robin Thicke's selling over 150k first week when only selling 40k first week last album is pretty amazing since most people sell less & less each album... :ohlawd:

144k at 70% tbh

Look I'm just saying it says more about other albums the past 12 months that didnt have as big a single and still did that number. Its no diss at Robin whatsoever and is still a great achievement. I just automatically thought of slept on albums that pushed 145-150k recently. He might still go plat depending on what kinda singles he pushes next

breh...its not about the first week.

Cudi tapped out at 200K :(

Nas stopped at less than 300K

Robin will surpass both of them easily, breh

yall be too hung up on first week sales

Future did 30K then sold 300K all around..

its not about first week

#1 songs in the world basically helps, but Robin Thicke has been active for years.

So that combined will definitely yield success.

It's like if Pharrell had a great #1 hit song that killed everything, it would help his album substantially.
But if someone with a ringtone top 10 hit song comes through and then disappears, his shyt will not do monster numbers.

BTW the album was very average, definitely not seeing the black trio and the boss (Ocean, Miguel, Weeknd and JT).
