I think you need to change your name back to Otis. I also think you need to stop throwing shade at Whitney because she sings better than Anita and @Boujee Bonita Braxton agrees with me

@Boujee Bonita Braxton you got something you wanna say? :usure:

Don’t let moorme get ur head knocked off ur shoulders :usure:

:whoa: I totally agree with the name reinstatement. It should have never been changed to begin with.

However, I adore Whitney and Anita’s voices equally but in different ways. Plus, Whitney’s reminds me much of my own mother’s voice and Anita is my Shero’s Shero/inspiration so respect is always given on both ends. :wow:

With all that being said, @ItsMeButters if you still want to get your head knocked between the box spring and the nightstand then we can get it started. :manny:

Whitney sounded just like her cousin Dionne Warwick. They are really good, but I always rated Anita higher too.

:francis: i'm not from the south(people from East Texas)
but there is a reason why they didn't wanna go back south

i dont neither but South Central on some hipster commercial bullshyt

what y'all think brehs?:lupe:

I moved back South (from Chicago to Nashville) and it has been great. My pop's and my older brother would have never moved back South under any circumstances. They both died in Chicago. My mother on the other hand always said that she would never move back South either, but a few years ago she moved to Florida to be nearer my older sister and my mother loves it. Now my mother tells me that she would never move back to Chicago, but she does take a few trip up there each year to visit my other sister that still lives there.

So you might be surprised by the move. You might like the move like me and my mother or then again you might be like my dad and my brother and curse the very notion of that shyt. It ain't for everybody.

My personal opinion, I'm just one man:

You can do both. But if you have to choose one, Los Angeles needs brothers and sisters reinvesting in the city. There are a number of us already doing that, but too many of us have already left LA for the South, and its counterproductive to the legacies we've built up in LA...

I have an aunt and uncle who been in LA since '80, originally from Arkansas. They currently live and own their home on Ruthelen in VNG side, when my uncle retires in '21 they are wanting to relocate back to Arkansas and sell their home to the highest bidder...

I'm currently working to create the infrastructure so that I can buy it from them. I don't have the capital yet, but I want that home to stay in the family desperately, and if I can't get it, I at least want them to sell to someone black, exclusively seek out black buyers...

Right now the talks are good, I have a great relationship with them anyway, so there's a 20% chance I'll be able to pull this off as currently stands. I'm working on it...

So just from me to you, I encourage anybody black from LA to reinvest in the city. The South is overrated, I been here half my life (if you consider Virginia the South; alota people don't). I'm not a fan of the South, there are places I like, but I'm more of a Northeast kinda guy...

South is cool but overrated, it's just it's cheaper than most places and most Black Americans are rooted here...

If you had unlimited bread would you choose to live in the South or LA? Where would you be happiest? That's your answer, because if you can afford to do either, you go with where you would be happier!
