I honestly think spending so much time online and inside has eroded kids’ self esteem and social skills. Never mind health.

playing outside was the best part of being a kid in the 90s.

My nieces middle nieces are 13, 14, 15 all have iPhone X. I begged my parents for a sidekick as my ONLY gift and got socks. My first phone was a prepaid with Virgin Mobile I got my damn self.

This Christmas I threw them each $25 thinking it'll HOPEFULLY get them to the "big" $100 I was lucky to have. I'll be damned if they didn't tell me they each got $300 BEFORE even opening the gift cards :dahell:

My oldest niece... I can't even get into how spoiled she is :snoop: I'll start ranting for real

spoiled kids are just bad parenting and not teaching kids what ‘no’ is. Nothing worse than meeting an adult who sulks when they don’t get their way :scust:

It's hard to say. They certainly have more "stuff" and more access to "stuff" which theoretically should make them better off.

But everything comes at a cost. Social media has certainly done more harm than good to the kids of today. The long-term effects of which we won't see probably for another 7-15 years.

Plus, if we're being honest, you can't really beat the culture we had in the 90's.

My vote is no.
