Onomatopoeia (3x trys to spell correct) is the new hot verse ............................................................... "Skrrrrrrrr" ... :krs:

The more unintelligible and less syllables per word....the better the lyrics.. :francis:

But some of the beats are straigh fiyah ..... :snoop:

Yes, but it depends on the rapper. No one listens to young thug, rhq, and future for lyrics and introspective music. Their music attracts listeners through instrumentals and flow pattern. However, listeners want J.cole and Kendrick to be lyrical. When you hear young thugs music you don't judge it by what he's saying, but how he's saying it. Meanwhile Coles and K.Dots music is judged by their lyrics. If every rapper sounded like Cole, or k. dot or nas hip-hop would become very stale just like if every rapper depended only their beats. Just look at the fall of drill music. The variety is what keeps hip-hop interesting in my opinion.

drill never fell nikka lol. you say that shyt out in the midwest nikkas gonna look at you like you're drunk

Only the dumb equate intelligence to fukking music

So. Then. Uh. Doesn't it take a certain level of sophistication to understand what a dope lyricist is actually saying?

"A simple back and forth. The same. Old rythm that a baby can pick up and sing. Right with em." (Kool Keith.. Prolly misquoted a lil)

Little babies know these "it's got a dope beat tho" songs by heart Breh.

Drill was never gonna get into the mainstream media, the genre itself is far to savage, and the nikkas are just to with that street shyt. but the videos still blow tf up on social media, so the shyt is still big.

Lyricism is still and will always be found in the underground, mainstream rap is just becoming a new genre in and of itself, pop rap. Which i think will be good, so nikkas don't confuse that shyt in the club and on the radio with real music. Don't get me wrong tho sosa, wop, and all them nikkas still bang in the whip
