Hoenstly think it's more underestimation than anything.
A man settles because he doesn't realize his potential if he gets out of his own way.
I also believe women settle less because they overestimate themselves. A man must earn like 90% of what comes to him in life. Women tho, a lot has to do with what they are born with,
Good and bad for both of us. For men, even if youa re a 3 or 4 in the face, you cans till work your way up to something nice cooking for you in the morn. If ur a woman whose a 3 or 4, beyond makeup, fitness, surgery... theres really not much you can do.

Honestly, I usually see bummy men consciously settling for a less than average chick. The men of means and self respect didn't settle. They would rather be alone. Women with high unreasonable expectations have to settle when they are over the hill because they let worthy men pass due to waiting on prince charming on a horse. Good self respecting people of means tend to compromise instead of settling. He/She may not have a college degree, but they make a good living, have other great qualities, and is very resourceful. This is just what I see.

A lot of people in society today are selfish and want everything now. We live in a microwave society. Too many people give up easily the moment they hit a bump on the road. If my mans feet smelled that bad I would offer to wash it. I sometimes wash family members and friends feet. I know how to do pedicures .That's not a reason for an argument especially if his feet is helping pay the bills.
