I feel what u sayin, I personally think it's dope when a rapper can freestyle but would rather hear something pre-written with hot bars unless that rapper is exceptionally dope at freestlying
And even then 9 times out of 10 I'd rather hear something they've written
I think every verse that wasn't part of a song, that was just a random verse on a track with no hook, being labeled a "freestyle" is where the confusion came into play
If the shyts were called "random verses" or even (which is what they actually were) instead of freestyles, that would have avoided a lot of confusion
