In Texas the police have a long history of being able exercise their ego issues and abuse your rights for no reason and then just send you off to go (if you’re lucky)

A Dallas police officer - male and female partner both came from down the block parked by a bank and then they saw me cross an intersection and began following me. Super close, so close that they didn’t object when I said it was the reason I kind of rolled through one of the stop signs (but I still came to two complete stops just had to move up quick on the first one because they pulled up so close)

They finally pull me over.
Blahblahblah
What are you doing here with a California plate
Blahblahblablah
What are you up to
Where you going to
Where you coming from
Why
What are you doing in Dallas
Why are you driving around so late

Then literally

I don’t wanna see you around here

And then ended interaction with “We’ll be seeing you tomorrow”, I said “what?” :why: And he just repeats it

Both cops leering and threatening the whole time

Later I see the news and the female officer was convicted for killing her neighbor in a blind rage or something

And it's HOT most of the year. AC is everywhere, so you only have to deal with the heat for a few moments between your AC house, your AC car, and your AC work/shopping. But most of the time, you don't want to be outside.
What's the point of living in a warm area if it's too hot to go outside all the time :scust:

Similar to Atlanta, the main reason a lot of people hyped Texas was because the COL was lower due to housing cost and the economy was healthy enough to support transplants
All the new arrivals became to drive up housing cost which took away the most attractive part of living there in the first place

People are comparing states because in most states the big cities control the color and ensuing policies of that state.

That’s cool and all, but the overall standard of living is still different from city city, would you rather live in Albany NY or Atlanta

False….

It’s extremely false, cause every big city in Texas is blue

If you have to make that extreme of a comparison, then the point opposing yours is proven.

How many weight classes do you need to punch down in order to "win"?

If every big Texan city is blue yet the state is eternally red, then comparing states instead of comparing heavyweight cities versus lightweight cities makes more sense.
