Most of my friends are hard headed stubborn nikkas, plus I'm such a smug a$$hole that when I give them advice (while putting them down in equal measure) they'll go against it just to prove a point.

9 times out of 10 I get hit with a "Damn, you were right. :mjcry:"

"Of course I was, you fukking idiot.:what:"
Maybe you should be more diplomatic?

I give good advice and can say about 50% of the time it is listened to in the moment. People want to do, what they want to do. Most the time when people ask for advice they already know what they are going to do and they want you to co-sign them. Sometimes they want you to talk them out of it but some of the best advice are things they don't want to hear.

I have had people have to learn the hard way and come back and say, "you were right." If it's someone in your circle you know who is going to listen and who you are wasting you words on. That's annoying.

Most of the time when I give advice it is at least considered.

Some people don't take advice for one of two reasons

- The advice given is not sound. Makes no sense to the other party.

- The truth is being told and the person doesnt want to hear the truth about their situation.

It's hard for people to detach themselves so they can see things from a different point of view.
