Spent 400 on a pair of Samurai Denim. Nowadays it's about Chinos from Zara and a pair of Levi's 511 that were around 80. Prolly gonna cop another pair of Samurais or Imperials still haven't made up my mind.

Use to be like that but a nice pair of Denim is the foundation. Nice denim can make white tees and chucks look good. A cheap pair of Denim(not saying you skimpin on your jeans) can make that $1300 jacket look cheap imho.

I typically spend $180-$300 on raw denim. But I'm really into raw selvage denim.
Raw Selvage denim typically is made in Japan and ages and fades naturally over time with lots of wear.
You typically wear selvage jeans for 6+ months w/ out washing (you put them in the freezer to eliminate bacteria).

These are before and after pics of how selvage jeans fade naturally with age.
I usually only buy 1 pair of jeans a year if that.

I think I still have a old pair of APC petite standards in the closet... some basic shyt for $220. I've had them for 5 years as my only pair of jeans and at this point, it was worth the purchase because that's 5+ years that I have not bought a pair of jeans.

Yup. My limited on buying a single article of clothing is $40-45. Pants & shirts. Now that I'm in my 30's I get most of my stuff from JCP or Macy's when it goes on sale or is cheaper during off season.

The only name brands I'll buy is Sean John or Levi's. I really don't care about name brands anymore. I never in my life paid $200+ for a pair of jeans. People are entitled to do as they please with their money but I can't justify paying that much for one piece of clothing.

I been trying to stay out of these threads cuz they irritate the shyt outta me...but anyway, serious question; Do you own a house? Do you own any land? Do you have a business? Do your kids have a college fund? Is your car paid off? Do you invest in anything to stretch your money?

I only be asking shyt like this because anybody I know personally that be rockin these expensive for no reason brands never have anything that matters. Not trying to talk down, but seriously, answer the questions...
