weed is not necessarily about escaping. it can be about just relaxing. helps to sleep for certain people too just like coffee helps to wake you up. also, i don't believe in being psychologically dependent on substances. if you are dependant on weed to feel good, you better check yourself
finally, weed isn't for everyone. know yourself. know what's good for you. don't worry so much about what other people are doing, what is "cool", "not cool", etc.
