You're incorrect on this. They do not have nervous systems or brains. Therefore they do not have pain receptors. While they maybe able to feel human contact, it doesn't necessarily register as pain

I was literally talking to somebody about Swamp Thing yesterday about how it evolved waaaaaay past it being about a swamp monster in the 80s, and shyt like the Parliament of Trees, and The Green (plant life) being at war with The Gray (fungus)

If I remember what I read correctly, it feels pressure. But ultimately who really knows. I just know it has been proven they don't have actual pain receptors. So you can bite into a fruit guilt free i guess
