Would I personally give him AOTY over Kendrick, no because across all genres, damn owned 2017 FOR ME.

But bruno dropped fire, easily one of my top 5 r&b albums of 2017 (since it came out so late in 16). His albums have always been good and so what he did 90's era r&b? A lot of artists do a "period" album - Raphael saddiq's 07/08 album comes to mind. Bruno is stupid talented - went head to head with Beyoncé at the super bowl and was just as entertaining as her - and he's actually an artist that loves music. his albums have been all over the place so it's not like he's solely relying on "repackaging" music to sell . It's also funny how y'all whitewash dude like he's some whiteboy (but got a fukking JT anticipation thread ) with all the privilege and easy acclaim that comes with being "blue eyed soul". breh is a brown mutt and a midget at that, acting like a rican pinoy singing r&b was the recipe for white acceptance and success is laughable.

I don't see an issue with him winning AOTY, in fact i would have been fine with him, Kendrick, or gambino winning it last night.

I simply said, based on MY thoughts, Grammys got it right. He had songs that played out alllll summer. Second biggest tour behind U2 that BLACK people as well as all other races flocked to go to.

Bruno's im not that big of a fan of.

But out of the pool of nominations his album(24k magic) was the best imo.

Jay in my top fav rappers but the 4:44 gets really boring after a few listens except story of OJ, Family Feud, and smile.

I think people exaggerate it becasue people had so low expectations after his previous project (MCHG) plus a few lines of conciousness/pro-black and other BS

I love Kendrick music and think TPAB is one of the greatest albums in the last ten years but that album DAMN is kind of a snooze fest. I still don’t understand the hype for that album.

I never said I wanted Bruno to win. NEVER. I didnt buy or support nobody nominated, but it doesnt take rocket science to see who really put a lot of work in and it paid off THEIR way.

If Kendrick would have won, I wouldnt have cared. Same for Lorde or Jay Z.
