70% of divorces are initiated by women.....
So...? Are you saying that all women that initiate a divorce do it with bad intentions and want to get the man financially to pay up?
How old are you?
You sound like you are very young.
Life isn't a fairy tale. People are not 1-Dimensional.
The same person who is amazing might be a different person altogether if their mother dies of cancer, or if they lose their job and go into depression, or if they serve a tour and lose a limb.
You're basically implying that everyone who has ever had any marital issues or gotten a divorce was simply lazy in choosing their partner.
While i'm sure that is true in some cases, that is not true in all cases.
Once you experience more life and get into more serious relationships, you will realize that human beings are capable of more than you give them credit for, good and bad.
I am 33, I know life isn't a fairy tale, I know people are not 1 dimensional. But who you are at your core is who you will remain. Are you a person that does the right thing regardless of the type of adversity you face, or do you take that opportunity and become petty and vengeful? Those choices all come down to character.
I am not saying they are lazy, but most probably did overlook certain things, so take accountability in the divorce, own up for your shortcomings, but walk away with dignity and respect for each other.
I guess I have been fortunate enough to have married (but ultimately) divorce a man that shared the same views and morals. No pettiness or anything.
