Do professional black women want black men to succeed?

In Corporate America black women just have more sway than black men. So occasionally they act out to flex their muscle. If they decide they don't like you for whatever reason they'll make your life hell. So if run across women like this it's pointless to try and reason with them. You either avoid them or if you can't find another job. Because once they have it out for you that's it. I antagonize people already due to my attitude so you know I catch hell.


I've learned don't trust anyone in Corporate America 100% and always keep your skills up-to-date. So it will be fairly easy to switch jobs if things go bad. I'm glad I work in IT where jobs are plentiful. So when I come across toxic work environments I just quit and find a new job. Or if I piss off the wrong person.

I once got a government job where the majority of my department was black for the first time in my career. Even the Manager was black. Thinking I had made it and found the perfect job I let my guard down. Big mistake because these motherfukkers we're worse than racist white folks who try to get you fired. I left after only a few months but learned a valuable lesson. Everyone is competing in Corporate America for status or money so treat everyone as a rival.

I’ll say this though. As a black man you have to assume, right or wrong, that more attention is being placed on you in an office setting. So you can’t be up there doing things that get associated with blacks (listening to hip hop for instance) and not expect to get a side eye even if it’s on your break. Driving into work in the morning you can’t be bumping too short with 2 12s in the back and not expect to get the side eye. If dude came in here with that type of energy I’d agree with him. You have to understand the battle you’re up against and move accordingly.

With that said watching sports during break? Assuming you’re allowed to surf the internet? That’s not one of Those things..

Sadly I’ve seen this when I use to work security in my early 20’s. I worked at CSC during the summer to pay off some college books and classes and to be honest the black female dispatchers where the worst when it came to break times and resting. They weren’t looking for the cacs but they had a angry “I’m mad at the world” type of vibe and it made working under them unpleasant. It got so bad that I had to sleep in the company owned trailer during shifts because I didn’t want to be associated or near them.
