Some do, but it's easy to point them out. Actual literal "Blerds" are mildly to extremely corny at times as well as awkward. The posers just throw the blerd tag on because it's trendy right now.

I don’t think that’s the case. That’s just the community they probably accepted them for themselves and loving anime lol if you’ve met some of these people you’ll know what I mean

I remember this dude at Jackson State who always wore a Luigi hat of course people thought he was weird but he had his group of friends and was super cool and he knew who he was and didn’t veer from it

Some anime are written better than live action.

my wife actually started watching hiatus x hiatus with me and wants to watch more with me lol

cosplay is cool I admire the fact they really have the talent to pull some of it off especially if you’re Black

As long as no one is getting killed raped or etc let people be content with their happiness however they find it life is hard

Yall aint understanding. Dragon Ball Z, Toonami, Anime etc. was popping in the hood back in 90s & 00s but these new nikkas basically turned it to some
Token Alternative Black shyt themselves to be seen as different..

Things that were normal for older nikkas, These shorties turned it to some elite token club
You keep saying this without providing a clear example

Maybe 20 years ago, not now.
I see people overcompensating because they used to reject something that's currently considered cool, so the memes/retcon hoodrat stories will pour in about stinky anime nikkas and weird (but real) behaviors exhibited by a fringe of a fringe.
EVERYBODY had those bootleg DBZ/Dynasty Warriors shirts.

The problem is from late 90s onwards nerd culture became popular culture for everyone.

If anything Anime is majorly mainstream now.

The shyt was just cool growing up. Its no different than WWF/WCW growing up. Same thing as playing with toy guns. Boys love hyper masculine shyt growing up.

Now when it comes to grown ass men clinging to the shyt, idk about that.

Na...That anime shyt is a life style! Wrestling is a weekly soap opera.

Nah man if you not gang banging and listening to the latest lil baby then you’re obviously thinking your better than other black people
you can listen to lil baby n watch anime best of both worlds

when were were coming up everyone watched the classic anime joints people lost me in the anime dress shirt era. that's when I knew shyt was too real for some people.
