I just don't understand why porn gets a pass, and/or if theres anything that can/should be done about it. This isn't like a racist commercial/tv show/movie...its porn. You can barely take it seriously, but in the back of your mind the stereotypes are still there. What does it say about a society so rooted in racism that we can't even get off without the inclusion of racist stereotypes?!? Its like theres some weird connection between hate and sex. Sex and race has been politicized heavily in Western Society.
Ofcourse, that combination (sex and racism) makes people VERY uncomfortable, cause most people don't want to be thinking about stuff like that during sex.
Unfortunately, white people are the only people that can escape the stigma of each. Combined with the fact that this unilateral society has been created where everything is heteronormatively white, it creates this vision of the world in their entertainment where we get a glimpse into how they think about themselves and us. Since they are the ones buying and producing this en masse, we submit to their visions. Unless we create our own. But they have the money to mass produce this and implement their own agenda into it.
In turn, they put racism into EVERYTHING because it keeps the status quo and order of this flawed society going by having people ascribe to their thought processes.
