I realise that your environment does have an effect on you

Prime example this site. When I first came on I thought you guys were really obsessed and needed to get over the whole race thing. Now the phrase "get over" annoys me and makes me think of that picture.

Thank you for the wake up call.

That said, I think the next most important thing is turning pennies into pounds so anyone know of any decent forums? Or is that an oxymoron, successful people don't waste their time on online forums? :ld:

I personally wouldn't measure my business success against someone else's, but as far as examples of people making moves there's plenty on this site for one. You just gotta look for the right thread. There's threads on cats making music successfully, design firms, aspiring filmmakers, etc. with alot of helpful advice. :manny:

No.
Business men don't have time to waste on forums
Forums are for introverts.
Like myself.

Wrong. they visit forums tailored to the industry they do business in to stay informed on the competition.

This is hard to find on google though, type forum and you get a discussion type thing on the topic/industry :mindblown:

I even found a company called Forum :deadmanny:

Blogs and forums is not the way to go.

Read a lot of trade magazines and websites with strong editorial criterias, everyone who is successful will tell you that you risk getting a lot of useless info from idiots.

There are some guys who are billionaires and don't own a computer, they rather read Value Line and other industry publications.

Your kinda dumb op.

Of course there a succesful people on forums. We have many here and elsewhere. There are so many forums dedicated to a career field where advice, deals and such are exchanged.

I'm wondering why u said "business" people... Is that the only career field that has succesful people smh?

I was going to say on one of the other threads how I "need to get a social life" and I was like no actually, I like my introverted ways of socialising. We have it figured out :lawd:
Idk
One minute I don't like it.
Then I get around people long enough and realize why I like being introverted in the first place.

not exactly sure what you mean sista but for example if you were a beauty salon owner wanting to bring new stylists in you could easily find forums for the ATL hair shows to see who's available.

If you were an aspiring sneaker designer you could visit the niketalk or other sneakerhead forums to see whats hot etc etc

there are barbershop, engineer, bodybuilding forums you name it.

Being successful and famous is an isolating experience as told by the rich and famous themselves. you'd be surprised how many go on worldstar and the same little sites regular cats use with random usernames. Alot of them can never just be one of the boys again so they do it online alot of times.

edit:speaking from a black perspective not dat privileged yacht inheritance view.

Makes sense I guess it's because I don't yet have something that specific in mind so still not industry related. I'm not yet sure what to do with my savings (lmao future savings, haven't received my first month's salary yet).

Before that I want to pick up on their habits and mannerism, see how they think.....but I guess industry shouldn't matter in that case
