Your kinda dumb op.

Of course there a succesful people on forums. We have many here and elsewhere. There are so many forums dedicated to a career field where advice, deals and such are exchanged.

I'm wondering why u said "business" people... Is that the only career field that has succesful people smh?

Successful(if she means 6 figures) people have little to nothing in common with people who visit forums.

Curiosity is the only reason why a successful person would be on a internet forum.

Depends on what you consider successful. A lot of people here make good money...close to or 6 figures and post regularly. i will say if any of them decided to start their own business they would post less.

Makes sense I guess it's because I don't yet have something that specific in mind so still not industry related. I'm not yet sure what to do with my savings (lmao future savings, haven't received my first month's salary yet).

Before that I want to pick up on their habits and mannerism, see how they think.....but I guess industry shouldn't matter in that case

Have you thought of seeking a mentor?

Is the question do successful business people go on forums like this or do they go on specific forums tailored to the industry they are in?

Honestly I thought that was what the OP was asking. If we are being real I doubt many exceptionally wealthy people spend their time on forums like these. Now as for dudes making 6 figs working a job type cats yeah but cats making non entertainment millionaire moves not so much. Ive saw it though at another site I post on though but definitely don't think its the norm.

That is a brilliant idea. There are mentors at uni but those are millionaires looking to mentor entrepreneurs and I don't necessarily have that kind of idea to be mentored on.

That said a few opportunities of being mentored have come my way in the past, I guess I wasn't ready then. Thanks for the reminder, I'll seek this out.

Also to answer your question does not have to be industry specific. I'll have extra disposable income. I don't want to get into the habit of spending that much more so I'll be able to make significant savings. How do you turn that amount into something a lot more significant? I want a mentor (Thanks again) who's been in a similar situation regardless of the industry. If they do work in Africa then that's icing on the cake/jump for joy kind of extra but doesn't have to be the case.

Go on Quora.com breh, it's a website founded a couple years ago by the co-founder of Facebook. Literally thousands of CEOs and successful people post there every day giving invaluable knowledge about business, startups, history, personal development and life in general. Just subscribe to the weekly newsletter and you'll receive a summary of many interesting and thoughtful Q/A's. I highly recommend it.

warriorforum.com ---- internet marketing, ecommerce, etc
blackhatworld.com ----- "blackhat" internet marketing, ecommerce, etc [I personally prefer this over warriorforum, in fact I haven't even been on wf in years now that I think about it]
reddit.com/r/entrepreneur [As a matter of fact you're in luck. There's a guy on there right now worth 5 million in personal net worth and has a company worth 30 million that he owns 80% of who's doing an ask me anything thread right now]

There are successful people on here too, they don't advertise it much but sometimes they'll mention it in passing [if you only look at troll threads in TLR you won't ever catch their posts btw]. Some of the things they've done to make money I've seen have been anything from eBay, forex/stocks, porn, sex toys, blogs, etc.

Somebody else mentioned Quora

Blogs and forums is not the way to go.

Read a lot of trade magazines and websites with strong editorial criterias, everyone who is successful will tell you that you risk getting a lot of useless info from idiots.

There are some guys who are billionaires and don't own a computer, they rather read Value Line and other industry publications.

Come on now. The only billionaires that don't have a computer are making their money selling oil or some type of mineral or something. Or they made their money before the dot com boom.

You guys talking about rich people not being on forums are spewing complete horse shyt.

This is the AMA I mentioned in my post above. http://www.reddit.com/r/Entrepreneur/comments/2q96rl/back_again_5m_personal_net_worth_a_handful_of/

Dude did one of these 2 months ago and mentioned his top rappers being: Big, Big L, Pun, and Jay. Idk if he knows about thecoli but Im sure he's no stranger to hiphop forums with a list like that.

It's 2014, there's millionaires who make their money making youtube videos and shyt. To say these types aren't on forums is ridiculous.

Everywhere...You never there.
@UserNameless school these people on Socio-economics

I'm a play low on this one homie... niccas need to get offline, read some books, arrange a job shadowing experience, identify a mentor in their desired profession, join a occupational/professional organization, enroll in some entrepreneurial classes and get more overall exposure. And all that shyt is free.

Fukk these niccas man... most ain't trying to do shyt. Wish 'em them best, tho.
