Do the 80s Giants ever get credit for fathering the Gatorade bath?

They were the first team back in the mid 80s I saw dowsing Bill Parcells. It got to the point where after each game you wanted to see how they were going to pull it off and they would always surprise Bill. Its now standard custom but it was fun seeing it in its infancy
