The Smilies typically don’t have a background: For example is just a picture of Dame’s head. However ever since I upgraded to the latest iOS 17 beta…the smilies have weird AI-generated looking backgrounds around them.

Looks like Dame is in a kitchen.

Looks like Martin is in a living room.

Looks like Kanye is in a bedroom with dark colored paint and furniture.
