Do the Spurs Win 50 Games

They've won 50+ games in 18 consecutive seasons and 22 out of the last 24 seasons. While this doesn't include the 1999 strike shortened 50 game season, it does include the 2012 strike shortened 66 game season where they went 50-16. And in 99 they went 37-13 (on pace for a 61-21 record over a full season) and won the title so I think it's pretty safe to say they would have eclipsed the 50 win total in a full season. The only other season since 1993 that they didn't reach 50 wins was 1996-97 where they went 20-62, but that's because David Robinson was out for all but 5 games of that season and it led to them drafting Duncan. Ever since they've been the undisputed model of consistent greatness but they face an uphill battle this season

They're currently 35-24 with no kawhi but have lost 3 straight. They need to go 15-8 to continue the streak. Honestly at this point, I'm not sure I would bet on them doing it. I'm gonna say no for now

They’ll go on a couple of good win streaks that nobody covers or cares about and at the end of the season we’ll all be looking like,

I wanted to make a thread asking if they'd make the playoffs or not. They're only two losses up on the Clippers.

I don't think they'll win 50.

Unless Kawhi comes back before the end of the season, 50 wins might be out of reach.

It’s not even based on Kawhi, really.
Aldridge returns soon and if we had him and a healthy Rudy Gay I’d say 50 is doable.

But we are lacking a legitimate scoring option with those 3 guys out. And Aldridge can only carry so much.

I don't see them making 50 wins unless they have Kawhi or have Aldridge and DJM performing at 100% every night. They have games against all of the top 5 seeds of each Conference in the final 23 games.

And that's not counting the "off" nights they end up tumbling against shyt teams like the Jazz and Mavericks

I'm honestly shocked they're still holding on to 3rd seed with all the problems they had this whole season.
