Do tires need to be changed even if you barely drive the car

Yes, my mom barely drives and as a result, often needs tires changed due to dry rot on the rubber.

if your car sits for more then six months without moving you'll literally need to change your tires more often than if you drove your car like once a week.

/thread. OP tires important AF even if you drive like an old lady in Hyundai

:dahell: does OP know tires get old, they rot, they break, snap get punctures... you should always get new tires periodically... :mjlol: OP run the runs until they bald...

I’ve had cracking on the sides of mine for almost 3 years. No issues but yeah I’m thinking of a new set very soon

I guess the rubber loses certain qualities.
So they may have tread but the tire is no good.

Barely drive as in the car sitting is not good and will lead to dry rot as mentioned. Barely drive as in not too many miles but regularly and you’re good. Just go by tread in that case
