you cannot push black folk out of a genre of music

there's black folk still making Jazz music to this day

On the other side, you got hella cacs with their hands in the R&B bag
Adele
Sam Smith
Joss Stone
Timberlake
Ariana Grande
Tuxedo

Some Black folks say that Black artists are being pushed out of R&B by cacs
True or False?

No.
How can there be Soul in Black music when it is directed by Whites, Hispanics and druggies??

But why is this?

Where are the Berry Gordys, Kenny Gambles and Leon Huffs, the Al Bells, the Sylvia Robinsons, the dikk Griffeys, the Don Corneliuses, the Frankie Crockers, the Jack Gibsons, the John Johnsonses of today?

Where are "keepers of the flame" of soul that we used to have in such abundance, pretty much up until the 1990s?

I don’t listen to enough of “today’s music” to really answer this question. The artists I listen to display it through their music, IMO. Was just listening to 8ball & MJG on my commute this morning, but I understand they wouldn’t be classified as an artist of today.

....
I would post some stuff but this thread is too narrow minded for that - I agree there’s nothing better than 70’s R&B but there is some good music out there in the mainstream and a lot more not in the mainstream...
