Ok got it bruh, thanks!

Breh I’m telling you. Look up ITS jobs. It encompasses so many aspects of IT from software to hardware to help desk to operator. You just look in your state cause it’s a traffic job. It’s not like some company website I can send you to

Look up ITS jobs in your state and see what is open entry level then try and talk/resumè your way up in there. That’s all I did man.

A developer doesn’t make 150k unless he’s working at a start up, or he’s at a upper management position.

People who don’t make above 100k stable unless you are in a senior position which usually means you’re in leadership role mentoring younger devs.

I’m a mid-senior front end developer, I make 85k. Only jobs offering me more at small startup companies I’ve never heard of, and those companies usually go bankrupt in 2 years.

Digital advertising in NYC. I work at a big advertising agency.

All the tech lead and high Senior devs who made more than 100k got laid off when work got slow.
The bad thing about making high 6 fig salary is if work gets slow or a company loses a client, you are the first extra fat they look to cut out.

And most old developers don't keep up with technology. You might of been a all star developer 5 years ago using Flash and Jquery, but now, no one uses those technologies so you have to learn Angular/React/Ember and that takes time. You can't even just be a Javascript developer, because every company uses their own stack. They might use Angular when you are a VueJs allstar. Its hard to keep up.

Any reason you didnt choose to be "full stack"? And you said you are Mid Senior, I assume you have 4-6 years experience?

However, in end sales career boils down to individual drive. A window salesperson can pull in this much. In this sense sales doesn’t have a cap where you pay is determined relative to job position. A lowly agent can make as much as jobs which ITT a low executive ‘IT’ person would pull.
excellent post breh. I think the 1 variable outside of a salesperson's control that can really play in part in make/break whether they hit their numbers is the accounts/region assigned to them. Easiest ones are customers who buy latest/greatest tech every year no matter what like Dept of Defense. They'll buy million-dollar tech hardware and then throw it out the next year for the latest model. Salesperson would have to be a complete fukkup to not blow quota numbers out the water with accounts/customers like that. It's extremely rare for brothas/sistas to get these accounts, usually it's reserved for cacs in the good ol boy network. If you see a brotha/sista in sales they're getting the more difficult and less desirable accounts/regions to cover

I am technically a Full stack dev, I took a NodeJs course last year.

Full Stack means you are Front End and Back End developer. Back End development, which is usually Rest APIs and Databases.
But a job won't pay anyone Full Stack money with out production experience, meaning I would have to show them examples I've done at work. And I have not had the opportunity to do that at my job, they have a dedicated Back End Developer.

All Full Stack jobs aren't the same though, some offer less money than I'm making now. The only gigs where Full Stack developers make high salaries are at big companies but those jobs are hard to get, theres a lot of competition and very few slots.

I know what Full stack is, thats why I asked (because you mentioned you were a front end dev).
