I put a lot of stock in how the playoffs play out, so yes, I think LeBron took the crown back. Curry was the best player last year and through the regular season. He never quite got right after he got injured those two times in the Houston series and was a disappointment in the Finals.

2013 was the last time I thought Bron was the best player in the league. Durant had the honor in 2014 and Curry up until the playoffs this year.

I never subscribed to Steph being better than Lebron. It takes more than 1 or 2 GREAT seasons to dethrone someone like Lebron. Everyone overreacting is very contagious. Shyt people even had Steph better than Kobe, Wade, and Durant at their peaks. You need supreme dominant consistency to supplant these dudes.

Steph is going to be better next year.....in the regular season as well. LeBron coasts for a good chunk of the season. Gotta save himself for the playoffs where he's easily better than Steph.

Watch how when LeBron is just playing average in December and somebody emerges outta nowhere competing for MVP (Dame Lillard? Anthony Davis?) people will be saying they are better than LeBron.

The national zeitgeist constantly pushed in the media that Curry was the BEST PLAYER in the world and had officially surprassed Lebron. Nearly everyone drank the kool aid, to the point that people would get upset and argumentative whenever I would correct them or make a comment about Lebron being the best in the world.. Mostly I just sat back and laughed at the silly shyt, knowing the truth would reveal itself soon enough
