G.O.A.T. power forward and top 2 big man after Kareem the numbers don't lie:manny:

Oh yeah this for the young nikkas who forgot how nasty son game was

Mind you Hot Rod was one of the best low post defenders in history:blessed:

He's the GOAT PF yet a top 3 big man period. Even more credit to his versatility and selflessness that he easily can play the 5 so LMA won't have to

His resume stacks up with anybody PF or C.

Nah I think it has more to do with him playing power forward, and being the greatest of all time at playing power forward.
Enlightenment :ehh:

So Rasho, Nazr, Elson and Splitter were power forwards? :Yeahaight:
I don't even remember a Rasho :heh: I don't even know what Elson and Nazr's skillsets were I guess they were the big bodies to allow Duncan to play 4. And Splitter ain't a center so I'm wrong.
But didn't Pop have a quote saying "Duncan will play center like he always has" from a while ago? Not this season with LMA signing but a couple years ago?
He is the greatest athlete of all time

Prime KG is the best PF but Duncgawd had a better career than any PF ever. And only big men w better accolades are Russell and Kareem.

Maybe I'm showing my age but this is the lineup that has stuck in my mind and why I've had him as a center in my mind. That and 6'7 Blair after.

How is his style of play in line with centers?
When I think of a prototypical power forward I think of a big who is more athletic and fluid than centers and has more range. Duncan's bread and butter has always been the back to the basket play though he can hit mid range shots.

Tim Duncan

basketball reference agrees with me

when it was winning time, what was the spurs closing lineup

Oh, so you talking basketball reference? He's listed as a PF in his prime on there, he's listed as a PF on there more seasons than he's listed as a C and he's listed as a PF beyond your "He's played center since Robinson retired" ish
