So here's my breakdown, as someone who's been eating Pappadeaux for damn near 25 years, at this point in time, I really only go when folks are in town or a special occasion, I'm pretty much burned out

P
-
Pappadeaux: Pasta Mardi Gras is the business, fried gator pretty good, green beans with butter sauce is clutch, seafood/pappadeaux platter too expensive and overrated (in my life I've seen that joint go from $15.99 to $19.99, to $25.99 to $29.99), drinks strong but expensive. Brunch at the 610 location though

-
Razoo's: best crawfish fondue, reasonable drinks, overall menu is a little all over the place though
-
Babin's: Dirty rice is GOAT, portions smaller than Pappadeax
-
Baytown: Dirty rice up to par with Babin's, boudain balls so, so clutch
-
Boudreaux's: Never a long wait because of the a la cart-style ordering/seat yourself concept, unique menu items, great atmosphere, drinks on point, food not seasoned the best but they've gotten better cuz a lot of folks complained, but lots of options
-
Landrys: Really no need to fukk with Landry's not even worth reviewing
Living in Houston, there's plenty of other smaller local options that shyt on all these places, but if I had to choose one of the above, it's Boudreaux's or Razzou's as a staple
