This is so much better than the BCS. But what they need to do is cut down on Bowl games. With the larger playoff field, you should now need like 8 wins to be bowl-eligible. And cut down to like, 20 bowl games or something. Ain't no need for all these irrelevant bowls, and the bowl season would be interesting again, if teams who missed the playoffs, but won 8+ games, were the only bowl eligible teams...

12-team format is perfect. Also do away with all conference championship games, you don't need em with a large playoff field...

If anything, they should do it like NFL where the person with the best record in their conference is the champion. If you’re a team like Texas and you’re working for a bye, you essentially had to play an extra game anyway because of the conference championship. If you lose, you essentially lose your bye and would have played an extra game going into the playoffs with potentially more wear and tear on your team.

Not at all. This has been one of the better season in recent memory for me. A lot of that is NIL and conference expansion related but meh on missing the BCS.

I think 8 teams would’ve been the sweet spot but I’m not mad at 12….at first I didn’t like it but now that the season has progressed the games feel more meaningful now than ever. Plus it gives schools like Boise State a chance to compete against the major programs.

Plus, there’s a lot more parity now compared to the BCS era….Theres a lot of good teams instead of 1-2 teams that were dominate/ underfeated with the occasional smaller underfeated school being left out because they’re strength of schedule was weaker.

They don’t though. A lot of people in the same conferences don’t play each other for years.
