Do we protect black women?

It's a rallying cry for black feminists that lacks substance and nuance and could never possibly be satisfied...they use it as a recruitment pitch because they know that in the BC it's very easy to publicy tear down BM without any repercussions or push back because our community is just stacked that way...

But from what I can tell...black men "protect" black women everyday whether its personal or in the collective. And they don't "protect" them any less than white men, Asian men, Hispanic, Middle Eastern or Indian men do for their women.

It's not even worth debating at this point...but does anyone remember the Tawna Brawley rape case? How many BM stepped up and rallied for that nationally?

What about when BM came together and got Don Imus fired for calling BW "nappy headed hoes" on live air?

What about the Duke rape case? Black men came together and had the lives of those kids ruined over a lie told by a BW who claimed that she was gang raped..

How many BM athletes and entertainers get up on stage and thank their mothers and grand mothers publicly for helping them to succeed?

And am I missing something here? But didn't Will Smith just go on national TV in front of 15 million viewers and smack another BM for allegedly insulting his black wife?

And how many BM have been killed or jailed trying to "protect" a black woman whether it was his wife/baby mom/side piece or just some hoe he was trying to play for in the streets?

And Is anyone aware of how vital of a role BM have played for BW even have a chance at succeeding at high level?

James Clyburn DEMANDED that Joe Biden nominate the first black female SCOTUS...and then Corey Booker defended her LOUDLY during congressional hearings...quiet as it is kept, Kataji is where she is now, because a Black Man made sure she got the opportunity....and another one loudly and publicly supported her nomination...

And do we even have to talk about how Obama elevated the status of Michelle?

NYC Mayor Eric Adams made sure to appoint the FIRST BLACK FEMALE police commissioner in the NYPD's history...

Look at Kyrie Irving...he just hired the FIRST black female Agent in the NBA....

Look at how many BM athletes promote and carry the WNBA just for BW to have jobs there...

And does anyone watch ESPN? Stephan A Smith is personally responsible for the hiring of a number of Black female analysts and hosts over the last year.....he makes sure that they get put on

I mean there are tons of examples...so much that it's not even worth taking seriously...and I don't know what it is...but there's something within the BC where black men's efforts in supporting BW are just ignored, flat out forgotten or barely recognized...I don't know why and I can't figure it out...

Black men have used our influence and platforms to degrade the image of the black woman. Created a pimp culture where we treat our women like sex objects. Often time having no real feelings for the women,creating single parent homes.

Going to prison,forcing your woman to work under the white man to support you in jail and the family. Not being as supportive and protective of black women as we our black men. Using your power and influence to paint black women negatively is opression,and invites those with more power and influence than you to opress them as well.

Theres more opressing of the black woman by black men,than protecting of the black woman. We are talking about as a whole. Theres alot that comes with this as a "collective". In general and as a collective we absolutely havent,and the protecting doesnt outweigh the opression in my opinion.

Talk like this is what fuels "crabs in the barrel" babble, collective, yeah I feel more comfortable around, more willing to help with other Black folk, but I really don't like how Black dysfunction gets passed around like a hot potato.

Your problems are not my problems and are due to a larger root cause (Ultimately cacs caccing) but at this point in time, the symptoms () need to be attacked first...issue is, I'm not dealing with those symptoms right now

Any time a white woman starts crying, or get remotely inconvenienced, the world stops to make sure she’s okay, and comes to her defense, even when she is the instigator. Should we be doing that to our women in public?

I mean outside of kidnappings, do they really? Okay fair enough,if thats how you see it. Guess you will just have to buckle up,and shut up now that the black woman is doing the same to us on the platforms the European gave them. I believe in general, black men protect black women they care about.

The issue arises when black men don't apply that protection to black women across the board -- we shouldn't have to, and there are several occasions where a BM tries to help a BW when she's in a strenuous situation only for it to backfire -- and it does appear that black men have to put more at stake to execute that protection.
