I’m not really sure about who wrote it but Daniel’s vision talks bout a beat.

I think part of this vision/prophecy is already fulfilled. Historically speaking, Persia and Medes are now modern day Iran. Persia conquered Medes in 550 BC and was known as Persia until 1979.
