This was on FX the other night and I was surprised how much of the movie I forgot. Of course I wasn't watching that shyt b/c it's like 4 hours on regular cable but I'm sure it will be forgotten about again when the sequels drop.

Nobody asked for Planet of the Apes, and that shyt become one of the best trilogies ever (IMO).

Let’s see if Disney does it right with this one. A lot of people are gonna watch just because of the James Cameron factor, and the movie experience this will be (again).

For about a year or so there, it was huge. It made a ridiculous amount of money, ushered in a new 3D craze, had all kinds of TV parodies, and then you heard stories about people killing themselves because Pandora wasn't real or whatever. And then, after that brief craze faded... nothing. You really don't hear about Avatar anymore.

:dahell: This happened?

Also, I have yet to meet anybody irl who actually cares about this movie. Never heard a soul say “I can’t wait for Avatar 2 to drop” :heh:

:what: Who asked for this? Yeah the first one did well, but that was a novelty due to 3D, but the movie as a whole was culturally irrelevant and quickly forgotten. And also it was a decade ago.

Nobody asked for this

Your right, avatar doesnt even need a sequel...:scust: shyt is years old and ended on a non-cliffhanger... there's no reason for a series of movies....

Nope..... not true

Last year me and @Nicole0416 got up for drinks and over the course of discussions talking about life, sex, politics and shytting on some of these B.A.N. coli chumps:unimpressed:

We had a discussion about Hollywood or movies and she mentioned that she loved the first one and couldnt wait for the sequel.

I remember that specifically cuz I was still nursing my cappuccino that was getting cool and she at time time was still on her second glass of wine:ehh:
