The level of fame of a person does not accurately portray their contributions to society and leads to the over valuing of certain individuals in comparison to the rest of the masses. You view this as ok and necessary because you've been conditioned your whole life to view it that way. Yes there will always be famous people but they do not need to be elevated to the level at which they are.
You can be famous for who you are and what you do and not be a celebrity
