the job market is great especially IT and government. The trades are definitely popping too since all the old white dudes are dying and/or retiring. The only problem is too many people wanna play the street life than grind it out legit. Real estate should be HUGE here with all of the vacant homes throughout the city. This is a city designed to have over a million people but we're under 700,000. But the city area is small so its still densely populated. People who get in the real estate game here are eating well and quite a few are black. This is a black city, with black political leadership, lots of small black businesses, and we're in a state where blacks have a huge influence. We're close to 30% of the state. People get turned off by the crime here but if you don't play in the drug game or have any relatives deep in it you should be good
How many of the dudes on this site linked up to create a business? How many of the brothers on this site has taught a skill to a brother on this site?

America was built on white supremacy and nothing is going to change this, we can go back to africa if we really want to get off white supremacy but none of us will do that. Like i said, we can improve our economic and humans conditions for the future, but thinking we can end white supremacy in america is a utopia.

There were never black excellence, we were brought as slaves. As a community, we had some success in the past and we have success now, but that doesn't mean we controlled anything in this country, the key element here is control and we don't have the control in the political and economic institutions, and we don't have the influence around the world like they have established during the last centuries. Black supremacy never existed in america because we never been in position to implemented our supremacy as a race in America plain and simple, our history is 400 years of suffering and we're still suffering now. So our first goal is stop the pain and to progress, the better we can improve our people intellectually, economically and spiritually the less white supremacy will have a impact on us. That goal is realistic.
But to think in our conditions right now we can fight this global economic and political system(yes white supremacy is everywhere) is just dumb. We have a lot of brothers in prisons, 70% of black kids live in single household, we're 200 years behind in term of wealth, we lack ressources and people who can do the job. We don't have the capacity to produce our own foods, to make our own weapons, and substain a quality of life without white people. So how we supposed to accomplish that in this conditions. Let's build something first and improve our community, and maybe we can talk about that.
Let me rephrase that :
The majority of black people in this country are fighting for a decent living and they don't have the discipline and intellectual capacity to fight back. So what you're asking them is too much sacrifice and you have little to offer them in return, white people give them a paycheck, healthcare, foods, safety, education and you give them nothing. So the answer is no.
Black Americans were wealthier and owned more land during segregation than they did during any point post integration. This is largely because Black people consistently patronized Black businesses. While it is common that most oppressed peoples both consciously and unconsciously support the institutions that cause their own oppression, people aware of this dynamic also understand implicitly the benefit of ownership of one's own community.
Haiti won their independence but suffered due to a long string of leadership that lacked either the discipline, or education to help the countries economy, in addition to oppressing the people who needed economic support. It is not a coincidence that Haiti, the one slave colony that won it's independence gets the least assistance from the Western world. If people with skills and resources from the diaspora were to invest in Haiti, it could have incredible potential. Haiti also needs to stop importing rice from the U.S. at the rates that does, or stop importing rice all together but that is a different discussion for a different time.
There is a difference between knowing nothing outside of White supremacy, and choosing to exist under White supremacy when there is a viable alternative. It is disingenuous to imply that people have a preference for White supremacy, if it is the only option they are given, and then criticize them for being unable to choose differently. Not to single out you in particular, this seems like a popular sentiment on this topic.

1. Stop putting some much emphasis on "brands" whether it's clothing brand, food, electronics, appliances etc. That there only controls black folks to go out and spend their money with white corps/business. If a black man/woman started a company and made the exact same product and named it "nothing" that black product that does the same thing as those other products will sit its ass on that shelf and not be bought.

2. Learn, stop sending your kids to be taught by white institutions. Re-frame from the 'normal' K-12th education system. I would rather kids be home school but how this have to successfully work, the parents have to be smart. Adopt financial literacy to be a part of one's education. Your black boy or girl should be able to take out a small loan or open up their 1st bank account before they reach 12. Math, History (Black History) English and Financial Literacy will be the tools needed for a black man or woman
3. Support black everything. See 1. Stop worrying about brands. Get back to "bartering" some things we shouldn't price up so high when starting off, build up, then you may can start charging a bit more for the products that you produce once you've build up some noise and clientel, We, at times, are afraid to give things away for free. Some times you may have to do this to get your business going. We wanna charge str8 out the gate..
4. Make the drug dealers in your area accountable, make them build something in your community, sponsor a youth league, buy jersey's, put on BBQ in the park, make them use their drug money to uplift the community sense they are destroying the shyt. Hold them accountable if they don't want to do those things, shid call the police on they asses.
5. Stop believing everything a white man or woman say, look them in the eye when speaking to one, but all this will come once you find out who you really are as a person. See #2 (Black History)
6. Employee blacks, and pay them. We wanna short change folks, especially our ppl, but when we hire outside of our race, they dayum near make more than us. Understand Economics.
7. Learn about food, health and Wellness. We walk around with bad health and sickness like it's not nothing. See #2. I'll even put a course/curriculum that targets nutrition.
8. Treat each other with respect, Everybody won't like Everything you or someone do and that's fine and dandy, Tip your hat off to them or support them and move along. Talking down on their success or idea or anything isn't helping our ppl, especially talking down on them in public.
9. Invest in our own media. Don't be afraid to create your own thing.
10. Love yourself. (This shyt should have been #1 but see #2 Black History and you'll start to see more black ppl love themselves once they understand themselves)

Because you know even the militant AAs just want "autonomy" so they can do like the Chinese and cacs and step on the necks of impoverished Blacks in other countries
By "produce our own goods" they mean "start up tech firms where we import cheaply produced cobalt from mines in Congo."
