White kids be takin trips to other countries and other hemispheres by themselves or with friends to "volunteer" and shyt.


When a volunteer opportunity arose, my mom wouldn't even let me go to Atlanta for a week at 17


Another fukkin country at that? My mom would slap me for even suggesting such a thing. It wasn't even that we couldn't afford it, cause we could.



One of my (white) friends went to Australia like a week after we graduated

Nothing. It's just a safety thing. Being worldly and learning about other cultures is important but a kid traveling alone is just plain dumb.

I knew a white girl who went to some country in Southeast Asia (I think it was Malaysia) all by herself. She befriended complete strangers and stayed at their place. I seriously thought she was joking.
