Women can be more forgiving than men when it comes to physical attractiveness. For the most part, to be attractive to a male, a female only needs physical attributes. Regardless of what most guys say, they'll take a chick that looks like Naya Rivera even if she was dumb as a sack of rocks and had a two year degree in fashion & design from the University of Phoenix. Most women will overlook a guy being unattractive if he makes six figures in I-banking. Most men aren't beating down Precious's door, no matter how many magazine covers she graces. Looks matter, but as a man if you're physically unappealing but have any sort of social status and or/power/money, you can get by a lot easier than an unattractive woman in the same situation.
Doesn't matter how much money you have in a social setting if it's not openly demonstrated, though. Unless you're clearly famous or pull up to the spot in a Lamborghini, the broke, short order cook that looks like Roman Reigns is 99% of the time going to catch the attention of the majority of women before the guy who's obese, 5'5, and in a battle to the death with alopecia.
