Don't Believe the Hype
Great point and interesting topic to discuss by Nelly.

Just to play devil's advocate, if I may: if DOC never got into that accident, maybe other projects like Chronic or Doggystyle doesn't go down the way they did. May DOC would've been too "poppin'" to just write for those records.

Crispness
Pac became solidified, despite his early death.
d.o.c.

the reason I say Pac is that I believe so much would be different had he not died so early. I mean, think about how things may have been different for all these if Pac was still alive:

Biggie
Puffy
Dr. Dre
Jay-Z
Mobb Deep
Tha Dogg Pound
Scarface
Ice Cube
MC Breed
Bone Thugs
E-40
Rappin' 4-Tay
C-Bo
Treach/Naughty By Nature
The city of Atlanta
everyone who was affiliated with the One Nation project (Boot Camp, Kane, Eric B., Greg Nice, etc.)
The Outlaw Immortalz
Suge Knight
Not to mention...the D.O.C.!

He did have a 2nd album

It was Helter Skelter
All the lyrics was written for Ice Cube and Dre and the beats where taken and recreated with a new producer Erotic D

I use to talk to him , learned a lot about that album

Still lyrics written for someone else. You could give the lyrics of his first album to Eazy or Dre but it wouldn't be the same. Maybe Helter Skelter is dope but what's missing is his voice, flow, confidence, etc

I'd say Capital Steeze is the biggest "what if?" because DOC has a classic record and songs. Biggie got 2 DOC got 1 Steeze only gave us a mixtape. I'd go as far as saying Capital Steezes "what if?" trumps Chinx and Stack Bundles.

i agree...i was at a concert when ICE T announced that DOC wouldnt be showing up to perform cause he had a very bad car accident.....

and the shock of finding out he lost his voice was damn thier traumatizing to many fans including myself

cause not only was dude a good rapper..but he was an established writer...who BOTH coasts highly respected it

he could flow over west and east coast beats..and that VOICE :ohlawd:

life can be so cruel at times :mjcry:
