Gas too high in most cities for it to be profitable

Not worth the wear & tear on your car, I know here in Chicago they stay carjacking and mugging rideshare drivers
Yea unless your 1st job is remote, it's more a hassle than a hustle. That's why I see a lot people either retiring from their job or the services doing it full time as some supplemental income for their spouse or kid. Especially since they changed their pay policy.

I've always wanted to, but it seems like you either do your 8 early at work and 3-4 hours after 5 times a week or find a way to spread it over the weekend. Also, the rate needs to higher than your regular job.
That's it for me. My primary job is from 7:00AM to 3:00PM then I go to my second job and knock out 4 hours. And I do a few hours over the weekend.

It's a lot lower than what I get paid at my primary job but unfortunately i don't have the option for overtime.

This deserves a thread...
Took a one week advanced fly fishing guide course in Michigan. It cost me $2900. This was like right after things started opening after Covid. After I finished, I got a job at a lodge in less than two weeks. Half of the ones I applied for, gave me an offer I had a base salary of $3k. I worked there from May to September. I never got less than $1200 in tips a week with making just shy of $3k on my best week. Room and board and meals were free. When my contract was up, I had a little over $38k in four months.

i buy guitars/basses/keyboards/amps from pawn shops and repair the electronics and resell them
Smart. Replacing pickups, tone knobs, bridges will always sell.

Go check out www.Talkbass.com, there is sale section separated by basses, amps, and effects.

See about replacing necks ass well. There are plenty of sites that sell either original necks, or copies that are just as good. If you do sell basses, check out the Fender MIJ. Always a sell. Guitars are the same. Its a good hustle for sure.
