Depends on the situation. If it's a professional environment I can deal with it, while simultaneously being disappointed. If I walk into a convenience store at 10PM and get stared at by concerned white people because I'm the only black person there? Yea...that's a problem.
I’m exactly the same. In professional settings it makes me step my game up and really show out. However in regular life; going to the store, eating at a restaurant, going to the park, etc I feel extremely uncomfortable if I’m the only Black person.

Oddly when I had a blue collar job splicing fiber, I worked with a bunch of good ole boys and I hate to admit it, they were alright. Sometimes I think it was because I was one of the few black people that worked for the company, they didn't want to be accused of being racist.

Now I work with a bunch of black people in an office and I don't like any of these punk ass clowns.
:mjpls:I guess them good ole boys rubbed off on you.

Just being honest... I am of the belief that all whites are racist but they were alright. The white people that are in upper management at the company I work for a pricks and the black people are damned c00ns, snitches, and they are clowns.

It is exhausting. Stationed in Texas, About 2.5 hours from Mexico. I can count on ONE HAND how many black people i work with and who are in this city combined.

Of course the Mexicanos wanna act like they have it bad, like “us”:mjpls:meanwhile they go to Mexico, an entire country for them, for the weekend like it’s nothing.

It’s exhausting. I’ll never live in an area w/this few black people by choice:unimpressed:anyone who chooses a life like that is:mjpls:
Yea I said it:ufdup:

not when theyre paying....
This, lmao. Hate to say it, and I never had to do any objectionable shucking, but long as im getting paid I dont care. The job I was surrounded with the most black people, Fed Ex, was also one of the worst paying. Everytime I swapped into a white-collar environment, I was one of few blacks.

There are plenty(mostly female) blacks at my current spot but I hit it off with the CEO at a firm I just interviewed with and it appears Im gonna be that one black dude again. fukk it, I can see my people outside of work. Im on my purpose.

I've been mentally prepared since I was a teenager so :manny:

90% of my intermediate family is still alive including both parents

Most of my childhood friends are dead or moved away down south.

Two of my best Male friends died already (2003/2019) my best female friend is a recovering crack addict who still sells p*ssy in crown heights & tampons to dirty ass hasidic jews.

I'm good being one of the only 4 African Americans at my job position(title) making 100k+.
