I have fam/extended fam all in the same place and I go maybe twice a year. I used to try to go on my grandfathers birthday (Halloween) but its too crazy that time of year. I just wanna go pay my respects, not do nothing weird.

There's a chinese tradition called ching-ming that my family still follows. We visit every year around april and bring flowers and clean all the graves at a couple of the cemeteries that family members are buried at. After everything is clean, we roll out mats, burn incense and fake money, and pour out a little wine and tea on each relative's headstone. At the last one we go to, where my mom, grandmother, and uncles are buried we have a big pot luck afterwards. It's pretty cool, I think having a tradition to adhere to keeps me somewhat grounded.

i go to my dads site to clean it up, but when i wanna connect w him i go to our spot on garret mountain, its like a 7 minute drive from his stone but i feel way better talkin to him up there.

I try to go once a month to pay my respects to the Chief (Granddad) and my Grandma (Big Mama). Thing is, I don't even go there to 'talk' to em, I just find it as a overall good place to do some soul searching, and think about some shyt. It's like a second home to me (As crazy as that sounds)

I've never visited my grandparents. my parents are still alive but if we bury them, I wouldn't go. I don't see the point. It's not like they're really there or like they can hear me talking to them.
