If I had kids id want to
Wondering if ipads changed all that
Wondering if ipads changed all that
Did it help her get into reading?Yes,
I bought a giant book of fairy tales. thick as two bibles. I would pick a story and read to her when she was a baby,
But really only did that for her as an infant.
Honestly i think it was more about me being paranoid. Babies cry alot but also sleep so quietly you wonder if they are breathing.Did it help her get into reading?

I did that to sooth my nerves and help her go to sleep. Once she was a bit bigger i no longer bother with that. I focused more on getting her into music as she got older.
If definitely helps, but you also have to limit other distractions early on so they appreciate reading as opposed to the quick endorphin hit from tv and other technology. My youngest also saw us reading so that helped too. Now, when she can’t do other stuff she reads for her own entertainment, without being prompted. Got to the point where we bought a couple bookshelves and created a reading nook in her room and called it a library because she was going through books so fast. Teachers even started giving her books for free to take home. Now she always scores the highest (or one of the highest) on her reading/language arts testings.Did it help her get into reading?

Our oldest got too caught up in devices early, so her reading faded by the time she got to around 5th grade. Live and you learn
I actually listen to classical music with them on the drive to school sometimes if they were acting too rowdy when getting ready. If I have kids def going to try to get them into reading
Will also play news in the car. My dad listening to NPR is what got me paying attention to current events
