Does anyone really like Sade? Or do you just like her and the group because you are supposed to like her if you're grown and black (for whatever reason).
I get it. Sade Adu is well put together, light-skinned/mixed, and exotic. She's "mysterious" and the group she heads supposedly makes "sophisticated" music for "grown folks."
But seriously. All of that shyt sounds the same and all of it sounds like watered down smooth jazz (because that's what it is). If I've listened to one Sade song, I've listened to them all and none of it moves the needle.
On top of that, I don't understand the black solidarity. She's British/Nigerian and her band consists of white boys playing, again, Kenny G smooth jazz.
This stuff is fake sophisticated music for people who think sophistication is hanging out in wine bars and listening to smooth jazz.
No substance.
Why do you like this stuff?
