Having to get up at 6:30AM after weeks of going to sleep at 12:30AM :why:

Having to catch the yellow bus :hhh:

Luckily I aint have to waste my good clothes on school & wore a uniform.
I used to hate that part the most when I was younger.

Being able to see the homies and find out we was in the same class :whoo:

Yea, def starting in 6th grade for me

That stratification they do be such bullshyt, my cousins that were a grade below me always had good grades but never got a chance to be in those type classes.

They had my little bro in classes w the bad nikkas and tried to put him of ADD meds lol..

we home schooled him for the last 5-6 years. He finished college w a 3.8 and ended up working at Goldman for his first gig. That shyt can ruin a young person if you don’t intervene
They tried to put my older brother in the special ed section. shyt was wild. Some real racist North Carolina shyt. My dad wasn't shyt, but he blew a gasket. They retested him and he had the highest score on their BS. 90s race school politics were twisted. I'm talking my bro had a 1510/1600 on the SAT later in HS, and was the leader of our neighborhood Stranger Things crew (Durham represent!). shyt was foul.

My hardest back to school fit was 11th grade year, Fall of 2000. :flabbynsick: Had the fresh Pelle Pelle Jean suit with the fresh coke white Forces... mids with the straps. Remember them Canadian tuxedos made by urban brands (i.e. Fubu, Phat Farm, Maurice Malone etc.) they sold as sets that we called jean suits?

They were always in an ugly wash, the worst was shiny and gray from that era. Back when you had to go to the black mall to cop the fresh urban gear that they didn’t sell at the Abercrombie cac mall. I went to like five different high schools because I was on demon time, but when I pulled up in the jean suit with the fresh forces, the bytches was like:steviej:and nikkas was like:obama:.

Man, Atlanta Public Schools, it was all about planning your fits for the first day and the first week.

Your fits could make or break you.

Me and my siblings used to have a get fresh fashion show. Model our first week’s fits and see who was the freshest.

I was in parallel/advanced placement so no baddies and none of my homies in any of my classes

:unimpressed:
That shyt sucked but I used to play it different.

All the girls in my AP classes weren't the best looking but on the phone they sound cute. I'd tell all my boys that I got all kinds of girls. Call them in front of them and talk my talk. I didn't get no p*ssy back then but I couldn't be the smart nikka with no hoes

I remember in elementary school the anxiety you would have until you met up with your homies in the playground then everyone was good. We used to hoop and kick up a sweat on our new outfit before the bell in those nice early September days. The trouble makers used to kick up a roast session and bully the weird kids. Mofos were heartless.

Grades 5 through 8 were the best times of my life. It was those right years where you had zero responsibilities school wise but you were old enough to understand and think you was a grown up. I was a straight A student studying the night before.

Then in high school everyone had a uniform...things were a lot more serious and strict. Mornings would be spent inside instead of outside. It felt a lot more institutionalized.

Then college was a different animal, i used to commute and shyt felt like a job, stopped carrying about looking fly as i was just trying to get a passing grade. Still remember those first year engineering math classes. They would schedule them right at 8 am cus they knew dudes would be lazy and skip and flunk right out. Then 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of college was probably the second best times of my life with all the partying and drinking we did.

Meeting random baddies in H.S
cracking jokes

School life was dope. Once you enter the real world you realize how hard it is to make friends plus how easy it was to meet girls.
