There's a couple of hoes who i think might be eyeing me but i never spoke with them (or anybody) in like 2 months since i started there, i feel it would be awkward to just say something now. :francis:

Won't say y'all are weird but y'all make it seem like taking a few seconds/minutes out your day to talk to others on the same self improvement path is far-fetched.....

I be cheering people on lowkey with my fist clenched when I see em gettin it in, sometimes I'll clap as they getting their final push in...... never an issue if someone wants to jump in on my sets, I like the motivation of seeing people push themselves n you might be able to correct bad form or learn a new technique watching them.....

"I see you" with a thumbs up
People I see in there regularly I might ask what they're working on today with a smile, then exchange names.... every time after that I say wassup and address them with their name to establish familiarity, daps to the dudes n high-fives/hugs with shorties when the comfort is there....

But I'm 6'6" n look good so maybe that's the disclaimer.... no one's too taken back by my actions but I see other ppl who still command respect n have charismatic personalities in the gym all day.... I've made good friends, business connects, n peeled a few shorties just off small convos here n there, so to each his own :manny:

Say hi and if they not with it, just continue on with your workout. It'll only be awkward if you make it that way. Just be like hey I've seen you here often and wanted to say hi. I'm Free, what's your name? Then just go from there. But you gonna be feeling the same way two months from now if you with this awkwardness state of mind.

Not at the gym, maybe like gyms that are discipline specific like a boxing gym or yoga gym, etc, but not at general fitness centers.

You’d have to really be about your business to approach me in those settings because I’m usually trying to attain some inner quiet, so I don’t interact much.

sometimes people will comment on my heavy bag usage, the occasional fine ass female will be doing her resistance band stretches and have her ass in my face while I’m on the weight bench, but typically everyone will leave me alone

With me it's the opposite lol

I usually say the casual, "goodmorning" or just hi when I come in

And the people at the greeting desk, usually white women dont even say hi back or even acknowledge me lol

I literally tell the white woman, usually a young chick, hi as I come in

And they blatantly dont say anything

I'm theorizing it's because of my looks and that I'm black

Im not a bad looking dude and women have a rebellious nature,

So they might be "playing hard to get" even though I'm not hollering at them, just saying a respectful casual hello

And I also think its because they dont want to be seen talking to a black dude, especially a good looking one

I'm guessing they dont want the white guys in the gym to think that they like me lol
