Just because he was going to the Celtics doesn't make him a star.

Look at Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown
:gucci:

You really comparing a guy whomabsolutly dominated in college, drafted number two overall to a celtic team coming off the championship to jaylen brown and marcus smart:mindblown:

In those days celtics didnt draft players that they couldn win a championship with.

Bird said he would have retired in '88 if Bias didnt die, so no I doubt the Celtics win more rings

In 1990-91, the Celtics started 29-5 before Bird got hurt again. If they have the same start with Bias instead of Bird, and he stays healthy, they had a good chance of getting HCA and another ring.

Benji would have been GOAT. :mjcry:

It's so hard to say because LeBron had the greatest HS hype/pressure of all time, but Benji was up there. People said he was Bron before Bron. Schea Cotton from Cali was a monster too. Lenny Cooke. So many What if's..

Just because he was going to the Celtics doesn't make him a star.

This made me laugh so hard, and had people giving me looks. It's obvious you're joking around because that was stupid.

Bias and Hank Gathers, we'll never know. Bias hype was crazy though. Can't even imagine what his parents and fam was thinking. He would have changed their lives for the better. You're talking about a dude who some felt would have been better than Jordan, who took the league by storm. He signed a million dollar deal before playing a single game. Not even MJ did that. Bias dies 2 days after the draft from an drug overdose. Wow. Just typing this have me in disbelief.

Just watched the 30 for 30 again. very sad story and not sure how the mother still walks around today. This and the Kobe accident are two of the darkest moments in nba history.

I’m still confused though his friend Brian Tribble said they were drinking and smoking the whole time, but they found no alcohol or other drugs in his system during the autopsy. But the family concluded he must’ve ingested the cocaine. Somebody please explain.

Tough to say. He was obviously very talented, but lots of talented players turn out to be pro disappointments.

He had good size for a 3, was athletic, long arms, and got up very high on his jump shot. It looked like he was going to be a good player. At the very least, him being a solid rookie could have helped Bird & McHale get some rest. McHale actually ended up breaking a bone in his foot that next year. It was clear in the finals that the Lakers were just better and deeper. Mychal Thompson was a great addition.

I don’t think they draft Reggie Lewis though if they get Bias. They would have already had 2 SFs in Bird & Bias.
