Ripper strikes back>>>>>>>>>>>>2nd round KO

"Talking bout my book YOU BOUGHT to read"

He sonned them, I thought Canibus won back in the day, only because Canibus looked was like Tyson in 87 nobody could believe he could go down especially by LL Cool J who everyone wrote has being soft, and he came through and crushed him.

LL Cool J was very strategic

1. He picked a way better bet than Canibus, 2nd round KO beat is wack, it don't like shyt, when LL Song come on it sound like a divine being is coming down from the heavens to bestow his wrath, the beat sounded like war beat, and of course LL 100 percent aggression the whole song.

Lyrical, the shyt was kinda wack, he had good lines, like that book one, and Tell Wyclef don't even turn the fukking mic on

but that chuckle like a name buckle, he said corney shyt like that, the song was too long, but back then they stuck to a format to a fault.

2. LL responded to all Canibus' disses, every single diss Canibus had for LL he had a response for, it was brilliant, because it completely nullified Canibus' song

Diss my moms?, who's the real right don, who reign for 18 years and dropped bombs, LL, when you drop versuses at nikkaz proms"

3. He waited a while to respond, he didn't respond right away. Today, he wouldn't be able to get away with that, and would've probably lost the battle because 2nd round KO had such hype, LL responded right way wouldn't be enough to take on that hype, he waited for the hype to die down and the track to get old, which was a great move, because know he had all the momentum, and energy from Canibus' track had died down.

The ripper strikes back absolutely was harder than second round k.o. That shyt was the original ether. it was so hard they kept it off radio didn’t want the ladies looking at LL as a bully. Then he bodied him again in a concept track. Can just battling ll cool j was the stupidest shyt he ever did in his life seriously.

Tell that nikka to tell that nikka to tell that nikka I’ll send the wolves out to KILL that nikka. The wolves were the “supreme team” all cami us whole team an infrastructure disappeared & gave ll cool j half his production budget outta fear. I’m sorry canibus is weak.

LL didn’t win that battle. And yeah I believe a lot of people say that because they are blinded by the mass difference between their careers. Basically Canibus never even made it even close to the levels LL was at in 1985 when LL put out two all-time classic hip hop songs (Radio, Rock The Bells). Never mind all the success that came afterwards. Canibus best song in his career is 2nd Round KO.

Because there's no way in hell LL Cool J The Ripper strike back was a better diss song than Canibus 2nd Round KO.
Had no idea LL cool j bought canninus in stage and dissed him while invited him as a guest on stage The quote at the end is LL at his finest. lol LL Cool J Brings Out Canibus At Barclays | Rap Radar

"Whoa, what’s beef? Last night at the Barclays Center, LL Cool J brought out former foe Canibus, to perform their posse cut, “4,3,2,1”. In the history of rap, is this the first time a diss verse was performed with the target serving as a hypeman? If that wasn’t strange enough, at the 2:17 mark, LL throws salt in the wound one last time, “Yo Canibus, love you boy! Your career is starting again, baby!”.
:mjlol:

Salute to LL first def jam to go platinum, his consistent going gold platinum, his style for ladies, clubs, versatile having songs for fellas without being "gangsta persona" film,tv shows, movies and can do songs pop culture would also like without the corniness. Rappers learn the marketing to female concept is from LL. In my opinion. "The female buy the records " like Pac said.

And LL’s reason for going at Canibus was so fukkin lame. He was offended by Bus saying “you L let me borrow that mic off your arm”?

I mean did LL really sit down and think about that? Is it more likely this kid is trying to disrespect me OR is it likely he is in awe at being on a record with one of the greatest rappers of all time and he’s just being witty and showing love?:jbhmm:

LL is notorious for getting at people on features/posse songs with subliminals. Because he got down like that, he was wary of it happening to him.
