Do y'all think Suge was a decent judge of talent at all?

I remember Dre saying that one of the reasons he left Death Row was that one day some fools came up to the studio and told him they were on the label and he had no idea who they were. Clearly, Simon was signing whoever he wanted without Dre in the loop.

With that said, do you think Suge could tell who had talent and who was just wack? It was obvious Snoop/DPG/Rage, etc had star power of varying degrees but I give their credit to their success on DR to Dre.

decent but only few and far in between instances. nothin' more, nothin less cause that wasn't his forte; dr. dre was the one with the vision

suge had a bit of an idea of who had talent and who didn't and that was first by workin' as a bodyguard before becomin' a ceo and definitely a lot more after seein' what dr. dre looked for when it came to talent. dr. dre is the one who had the vision and knew what worked and what didn't.

suge was more so the businessman for lack of a better word; he made sure business got taken care of so that dr. dre could focus on the music. but naturally after seein' how things work, of course he developed an idea of what was goin' to work and what wasn't. suge's greed got the best of him. he could never be too focus enough to really be that concerned about talent because suge was into too much of everythin' but the music.

dr. dre was the visionary and genius behind that label as far as the talent went. he is the quincy jones of this hip hop game; his talent as a producer and vision as an artist is unmatched in hip hop.

just look at what happened after dre left...if pac wouldntve died he woulda ended up leavin too

then snoop bounced...dre formed aftermath we all know how that worked out and suge is gettin knocked out by barbers and most likely a gov't informant

Dre was def the one who developed and recruited the talent. Dre is the one who Snoop & Warren went to, Dre was the one cats wanted to work with. just look who Suge brought to the label after Dre left, Petey Pablo, Hammer (if Dre was still there i doubt he had much to do with bringing Hammer there) ha;d of the Dogg Pound was in studios etc with Ruthless anyway, Snoop worked with Above The Law, Warren G is on a skit on Efil4zaggin, Suge was not the draw card at all.
