Do yall think the "power" jumping in Advanced warfare will be a mistake?

new gameplay trailer

game looks fun as hell, u lying if u say it dont.

lmao...map geometry is completely irrelevant now....nikkas just flying everywhere....remind me of the fukkery that happened to halo when they introduced jetpacks....map control means nada now...especially in cod where u die so fast....

it may look and feel like fun now...but as time goes by you'll see how much the jet pack is gonna break the game...along with a lot of the other gadgets n shyt they got in there...

On the topic of eSports players, Sledgehammer brought in Call of Duty multiplayer veterans to help balance the game across the board. One of the most important balancing acts was in terms of how the exosuits impacted the tried-and-proven three-lane map design.

“We had to figure out how you could actually extend those lanes vertically in a way that aesthetically made sense,” Condrey tells us. “We had to make it so that, with the use of boost jump, you could get to rooftops, but that wouldn’t give you full domination of being able to see the full map. Some of our early map designs worked really well with the three-lane design, [but] quickly became a [game of] king of the hill. It was a race to the highest point on the map, and if you and your team could get there and lock it down, you would just dominate.”

This meant going back to the drawing board after receiving input from eSports contenders that are skilled at exploiting map design to their advantage.

“We had to break lines of sight, we had to make flows very easy to navigate as you went vertical and ran across rooftops and dropped down in other lanes,” says Condrey.

The result is an exosuit that now facilitates shifting between lanes in a more efficient way, which results in an even faster-paced experience with fewer obvious map chokepoints now that players can break line of sight by taking advantage of evasion tactics on the Y-axis.

Let's have hope that they've designed the maps correctly. I'm being optimistic since I been wanting to retire my 360 for the longest.

bungie said the same shyt with reach...and 343 did with h4...they had pros test the game....they created maps around jetpack....it was still gimmicky and broke maps....in competitive reach settings we had to make players heavier via settings so the jetpack didn't lift em too high in the air...and it still didnt feel right in a game where you had to shoot someone multiple times to kill them...

nikkas flying around in cod shooting....super fast kill times...lmfao....fukk fest....

it's why i'm so happy for the master chief collection....all the good halo games available on one console with online play....i'll never touch the ones that featured jetpack and all these other crazy abilties again...

Just play CS:Go.

I wish I didnt hate kb + mouse...this and quake it would be the other fps games I play next to halo

I'm not hearing good things about this game. People are saying it rips off Titanfall HEAVILY and it's a copy and paste of the last two Call of Duty games....
Funny, a year ago Titanfall was the most epic game ever. Then it said fukk sony
Now anything Titanfall like you wanna frown on :laff:
I'm sure its ripping off Titanfall, that don't mean its a bad move tho. How about you try the game out or let the majority do that first before you hate :umad:
The gameplay didn't need to be sped up.

Jetpacks help ruin FPS word to Halo 4
Halo Reach had Jetpacks and is considered one of the best Halo games ever made :stopitslime:
