Good point. So would you compare this to the hair metal age? Like will people look back years from now and be like "wtf" was I listening to.

i dunno, its hard to predict the future. i feel like people were calling the snap era the 'hair metal' era of rap, maybe a few more eras gotta pass before we can look at it all with clear eyes.

but its all subjective really, as hated as hair metal is, that shyt is still loved by lots of people, and im sure all the hated eras and genres of rap will get just as much love when looking back at with nostalgia.

i think part of the issue with rock is that rap started to really take over economically and sonically, so is there gonna be another genre that emerges (not from scratch) that starts to push rap out some? biscuitsandbangers is right about rock having a buncha sub genres, and i figure rap is gonna keep going that direction too
