I have no clue how dangerous some of these neighborhoods are in the US but if the so called "hood" is like the ones in Toronto, I agree. The shyt is not dangerous at all :russ: especially if your not into selling drugs or anything like that. I always laugh when nikkas here are like Sherdan Mall :whoa:.

Trap house won't be there for long if you are a stand up guy and like minded people stay around you as we'll.

And in reality you can still live in "the hood" and not live accross from the trap house. conversly you can live in the suburbs and still live accross from a drug house.

The idea that "the hood" is all bad full of gangsters and drugs, while the suburbs have none of that is asinine. And a simple legacy of white supremacy

the term "hood" is extremely subjective in 2015...many suburbs are considered the "hood" by some people...I'm just going off the opening post which suggests the area is dangerous even for people who aren't in the streets...u would have to be insane to want to stay in a crime ridden area if u can move to a safer place...that's common sense that everyone in the world knows

But yeah I don't even think Umar said this lol

My point is that many areas that would be considered crime ridden and dangerous aren't really so. Obviously you wouldn't want to move your family right in the middle of a bunch of abandos and trap houses, but the next street or block over could be totally fine, and if enough people move there then the crack houses and abandos would start going away

Trap houses and dope boys exist due to lack of economic opportunity accountability and recourses. Bringing responsible succesful people back would bring those opportunities and resources back so presumably they'd get a job or move on to another neighborhood where people don't care.

Cacs move and start new neighborhoods.

But we gotta stay in the ghetto.

Everyone who started in the ghetto left the ghetto but we gotta stay there and make it work

:mjlol:

when cacs choose to upgrade their quality of life, they're moving into white neighborhoods. when blacks choose to upgrade their quality of life, they're moving into white neighborhoods.

but brehs still choose to ignore importance of establishing your own. rather run up under what whites have established for themselves

How when those successful people are working for corporations?

Black people enable white supremacy by leaving the places whites designed for us to live? Aces they made for us so we are easier to manage. I'm having trouble buying thay

I tried to stick it out in the "hood" for years after I could have bought a place in a nicer neighborhood.
Even tho I couldn't really let my kids be outside on their own, or leave the block ever, myself and my neighbors on my block were sticking together and trying to hold it down.

It eventually got to a point where I just couldn't hang anymore, little teenage a$$holes decided they'd just start breaking in the crib in the middle of the day when I was at work and I wanted to put my daughter in a better school, so I bailed 4 years ago. Honestly at first it felt kinda sell-out-ish, but my kids go to good schools now, and I can let them be outside without worrying about strays ( not even exaggerating).

So it's not fcuk the hood, cause it's were I'm from, and I got love and fond memories, but ultimately I just wanted my kids to not have to deal with the mess I had to.
